Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using glucosensei.com or the GlucoSensei mobile app. By accessing or using our website or app, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By visiting glucosensei.com, using the GlucoSensei mobile app, or completing a purchase, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age, have read and understood these Terms of Service, and agree to be bound by them along with our Privacy Policy.

We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. Continued use of the site or app after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.

2. About the App

GlucoSensei is an educational mobile app that helps users better understand the correlation between their food intake and glucose levels. It is designed as a personal wellness and education tool only.

GlucoSensei does not:

• Provide medical advice or clinical recommendations
• Offer guidance on medications, insulin, or medical treatments
• Replace the advice or care of a licensed medical professional
• Diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any health condition or disease

If you have a medical condition such as diabetes, pre-diabetes, or any other metabolic health concern, please work with your healthcare provider before using this app to inform your health decisions.

3. Eligibility

To use GlucoSensei, you must:

• Be at least 18 years of age
• Be capable of entering into a legally binding agreement
• Not be prohibited from using the service under applicable laws

By using this service, you represent and warrant that you meet all of the above eligibility requirements.

4. Using the App

GlucoSensei does not require you to create an account, and you do not provide a username or password to use it. The information you log, including your glucose readings, meals, insulin, medications, and profile, is stored on your device.

You are responsible for:

• Keeping your device secure, for example with a passcode or biometric lock
• Any backups you choose to make through your device or Apple Account
• Your use of the app in line with these terms

If you delete the app or use “Clear Data” in Settings, the information stored on your device is removed and cannot be recovered by us, because we do not keep a copy.

5. Subscriptions, Billing & Refunds

5.1 Free and Premium

GlucoSensei offers a free tier that includes manual logging of food, glucose, insulin, and medications, your dashboard, and recent history. An optional paid Premium subscription unlocks AI meal photo analysis, personalized insights, glucose predictions, and full history.

5.2 Pricing and Billing

Premium is an auto-renewing subscription billed monthly or annually. Current pricing is $14.99 CAD per month or $119.99 CAD per year, and is also shown in the app before you confirm any purchase. Prices may vary by country or region. Subscriptions purchased in the app are processed by Apple’s In-App Purchase system and billed to your Apple Account. We do not receive or store your payment card details.

5.3 Auto-Renewal and Cancellation

Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. The subscription automatically renews unless it is canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple Account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your Apple Account settings: open Settings on your device, tap your name, then tap Subscriptions. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep access until that date.

5.4 Free Trial

New subscribers may be offered a 14-day free trial. If you do not cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, it converts to a paid subscription at the price shown when you signed up. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.

5.5 Refunds

Purchases made in the app are billed by Apple, and all refund requests for these purchases are handled by Apple under the App Store policies in effect at the time. To request a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com or use your Apple Account settings. We are not able to process App Store refunds directly. If you experience a technical issue, contact us at support@glucosensei.com and we will do our best to help.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree to use GlucoSensei only for lawful, personal, non-commercial purposes. You must not:

• Share, sell, or transfer your subscription or access to another person
• Attempt to reverse engineer, copy, or reproduce any part of the app
• Use the app in any way that could damage, disable, or impair its functionality
• Use automated tools, bots, or scrapers to access any part of the app
• Upload or transmit any harmful, offensive, or unlawful content
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of our systems

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access for any user found to be in violation of these terms.

7. Intellectual Property

All content on glucosensei.com and within the GlucoSensei app, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, app design, and educational content, is the property of glucosensei.com and is protected by applicable copyright and intellectual property laws.

Your subscription grants you a limited, personal, non-transferable licence to access and use the app for your own personal wellness purposes. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any of our content without our prior written permission.

8. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

8.1 No Medical Advice

As stated above, GlucoSensei is an educational tool only. Nothing in the app or on this website constitutes medical advice, and we are not liable for any health decisions you make based on information provided through the app. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional for medical guidance.

8.2 No Warranty

The GlucoSensei app and website are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

8.3 Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, glucosensei.com shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the app or website. Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. App Store and Apple

The following applies when you download or use the GlucoSensei app through Apple’s App Store. The app is licensed, not sold, to you.

• These Terms are between you and glucosensei.com only, and not with Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content.
• Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app.
• If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price, if any. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation for the app.
• Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims relating to the app, including product liability, legal or regulatory compliance, and consumer protection claims.
• Apple is not responsible for investigating, defending, or resolving any third-party claim that the app infringes intellectual property rights.
• You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo and are not listed on any U.S. Government restricted-parties list.
• You must comply with the usage rules in Apple’s Media Services Terms and Conditions.
• Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.

10. Third-Party Links & Services

Our website and app may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or terms of those third parties. Visiting any third-party site is at your own risk.

11. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Canada and the province of Manitoba, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Manitoba, Canada.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page. It is your responsibility to review these terms periodically. Continued use of the app or website after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
